A meaningful moment during the Conference. The presentation, dressing the Masai traditional costume, of an aspiring geopark in Kenya (Mt. Suswa volcano) where the connection with the sustainable development is imperative.



At the end of the scientific sessions, the Rountable "Role of women and youth in conservation of natural heritage", presented by Claudia Eckhardt of the European and Global Geoparks Network. The poster session has been displayed in the courtyard of the Department of Geology of the Faculty of Sciences of El Jadida.





El Jadida, that hosted the First International Conference on African & Arabian Geoparks, preserves the Portuguese fortification of Mazagan, proclaimed Unesco World Heritage in 2004.
