The Park operators group is welcomed into the Visitor Centre reception of Equi Terme. The Park Director Antonio Bartelletti is the first guide of the ApuanGeoLab (the new interactive Museum).

The visitor trail starts from the exhibit "geologist for a day", which offers to tourists a unique experience of role-playing game: the geologist is just the main character...

In the first room, we get to the centre of the Earth by  seismic waves and we study the growing density of the inner layers of our planet.

Come back to the Earth's surface, the ApuanGeolab's exhibits tell us the plate tectonics, the relationship between faults and earthquakes, the mountains formation by the compressive forces.

In front of the exhibit "stone by stone", dr. Giuseppe Ottria explains the meaning of the experience offered to students and tourists.

A fun exhibit is the one that produces marble from limestone...

it does not exist, but someone would like it....

Dr. Alessia Amorfini replaces the Director as guide of the group. In the third room, the issues proposed are the karst phenomena and the "giants pot-holes".

The exhibit "Equi Geosites" allows us get to know of the geological heritage of Equi Terme area. Here some significant hiking routes help the visitors to discover the geodiversity of the Apuan Alps.

The Earth Sciences Laboratory - under construction - is located on the first floor of the Visitor Centre-Museum.
It completes the visit to ApuanGeoLab.

The Laboratory conserves Franco Amorfini’s mineral collection, a geologist from Lunigiana and teacher.

"Grand Finale" of the ApuanGeoDay in the multimedia room of Visitor Centre. The Mayor of Fivizzano, Paolo Grassi and the Park President, Alberto Putamorsi expressed their appreciation for this implementation. There was also the Vice-President, Victor Tower.

Traditional closing of the ApuanGeoDay with Lunigiana's cheeses and cold cuts, accompanied by excellent wines from Monte dei Bianchi: Pòllera, Cenobio and Deir.
